Methodology and sources
Every school fact on DesignSchools should be traceable to an official source and carry a date. This page explains how.
Accepted sources
- The school's own official website and published admission documents.
- Government and regulator registers and published lists, such as UGC, AICTE or NIRF data in India.
- Official entrance-exam bulletins and websites.
- Named ranking publishers, only with the ranking name and year shown.
We do not scrape competitor websites. We use only data that is official, licensed or publicly published.
What is recorded for each fact
- Source URL: the page the fact came from.
- Verified on: the date a person last checked it against that source.
Pages show "Last verified" next to facts that can change. Entries without a verification date are shown as "Not yet verified".
What we do not publish
We do not publish placement figures, alumni lists, fees, cut-offs or rankings that we cannot source. When a fact is missing, the page links to the official website instead of guessing.
Refresh schedule
- School profiles (programmes, fees, deadlines): yearly, during the September to November admission-planning window.
- Key pages: reviewed every quarter.
- Broken links and sitemaps: checked monthly.
If an official source becomes unavailable, we keep the last verified value and show its date with a "delayed" label.
Ordering of lists
Lists are ordered by clearly stated criteria on the list page. Payment never changes the order of organic results.
